The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has elected Sabbir Ahmed FCA as president and Neaz Mohammed FCA, Ala Uddin FCA, Asifur Rahman FCA, and Mohammad Redwanur Rahman FCA as vice-presidents of the Institute for the July 2026 to June 2027 term.
The newly elected office bearers will assume their respective responsibilities on 1 July 2026, according to a press release.

Sabbir Ahmed FCA
Sabbir Ahmed FCA is currently a partner of Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co., one of Bangladesh's oldest and largest chartered accountancy firms, formerly known as A. F. Ferguson & Co. With nearly three decades of professional experience, including more than 12 years of international exposure through one of the Big Four global accounting firms across Australia, Indonesia, Germany, Singapore, the UAE, and the United Kingdom, Mr Ahmed brings extensive leadership and global expertise to the Institute.

Neaz Mohammed FCA
Neaz Mohammed FCA is the senior partner of Howladar Yunus & Co., a member firm of Grant Thornton International. With over 25 years of experience in audit, assurance, and business advisory services, he has advised banks, financial institutions, public sector organisations, development agencies, and private enterprises.

Ala Uddin FCA
Ala Uddin FCA is the deputy managing director and chief financial officer of MetLife Bangladesh. With more than 22 years of leadership experience in financial management, he has previously held senior finance positions at Robi Axiata Limited, Novartis Bangladesh Limited, Grameenphone, and British American Tobacco Bangladesh.

Asifur Rahman FCA
Asifur Rahman FCA is a partner at Hussain Farhad & Co., Chartered Accountants, specialising in statutory audit, assurance, risk management, compliance, and internal control. With more than 25 years of professional experience, he has held senior leadership positions, including financial controller at MetLife Bangladesh.

Mohammad Redwanur Rahman FCA
Mohammad Redwanur Rahman FCA is the senior partner of Redwan Rahman & Co., Chartered Accountants. He previously served in senior finance and audit leadership roles at MetLife Bangladesh, LankaBangla Investments Limited, Union Capital Limited, and KPMG Bangladesh.
