Midland Bank PLC (MDB) has formally launched MDB e-Loan, a fully digital loan facility designed to provide customers with quick, convenient and hassle-free access to financing through the Midland Online App, according to a press release Monday.

The launching ceremony was held recently at the bank's head office in Gulshan-2, Dhaka.

Among those present were Managing Director and CEO Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Md Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar, members of the senior management team and divisional heads of the bank.

According to the statement, MDB e-Loan has been introduced in line with the latest Bangladesh Bank guidelines for the commercial launch of e-Loan services.

The facility enables eligible customers to obtain loans of up to Tk 50,000 through a fully digital process, with a repayment tenure of up to 12 months.

Speaking at the event, Imtiaz U Ahmed said the launch of MDB e-Loan reflects the bank's continued commitment to innovation, financial inclusion and customer convenience. He said Midland Bank would continue to introduce technology-driven financial solutions to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

The bank said the new facility is expected to further strengthen its digital banking ecosystem by offering customers across the country a secure, simple and efficient borrowing experience.
