Health authorities have reported the admission of 271 more people with dengue to hospitals across Bangladesh in a 24-hour count.
On Sunday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said 57 of the new patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka's two city corporation areas.
Outside the capital, 45 patients were hospitalised in Dhaka Division, 63 in Barishal, 30 in Chattogram, 63 in Khulna, seven in Mymensingh, four in Rajshahi and two in Sylhet.
In the 24 hours to Sunday morning, 274 dengue patients were discharged after treatment, while no deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported.
Since January, 6,872 people have been hospitalised with dengue nationwide, of whom 6,404 have recovered and been discharged.
