The newly elected Board of Directors of the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) for the 2026-2028 term officially assumed office on Sunday.
A formal handover-takeover ceremony was held at the TOAB headquarters in Dhaka, where outgoing President Md. Rafeuzzaman transferred responsibilities to the new committee, led by incoming President Mohammed Hanif.
The leadership transition follows the TOAB biennial elections held on June 16 at the Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation. The election board released the final official results on June 27, according to a statement.
The newly installed 20-member board features several prominent industry figures. Joining President Hanif in the executive leadership are First Vice President Syed Shafat Uddin Ahmed Tomal, Vice President-1 Md. Moinul Islam, and Vice President-2 Ziaur Rahman Zakir.
Other key directors include Zahir Ahmed Helal for Finance, Md. Jahir Uddin for Accounts, Md. Firozul Islam for International Affairs, and Md. Mizanur Rahaman for Media & Public Relations. The outgoing committee extended its best wishes to the new leadership, urging collective cooperation to continue the organization's ongoing growth.
