

A warehouse storing fabric scraps and a nearby plastic factory have been gutted in a fire in Chattogram city.
The fire started around 2:00 am on Saturday at a tin-roofed warehouse beside the Ahad Convention Centre on Bakalia Access Road. It quickly spread to a plastic recycling factory next door.
Nine Fire Service units were sent to the scene and brought the flames under control by 4:45 am, the Agrabad Fire Service Control Room said.
By 8:30 am, firefighters were still engaged in damping operations to fully extinguish the fire, according to a bdnews24.com report.
Officials said the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed immediately. There were no reports of casualties.
