A corporate agreement has been signed between Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC and Bangladesh Railway Co-operative Credit Society Limited.
Under this agreement, the members of Bangladesh Railway Co-operative Credit Society (BRCCS) Limited will enjoy the facilities of maintaining salary accounts, making deposits into the society’s account, and easily paying the installments of loans taken from the society through Islami Bank, according to a press release.
Engineer Md. Afzal Hossain, Director General of Bangladesh Railway was present as the chief guest at the agreement signing ceremony held at Rail Bhaban in the capital, on Thursday, 25 June 2026.
Dr. M Kamal Uddin Jasim, Additional Managing Director of Islami bank, and Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, President of the society and Chief Operating Superintendent (West) of the Railway signed the agreement on behalf of respective organisation.
Md. Maznuzzaman, Executive Vice President & A.N.M Tawhidul Islam, Assistant Vice President of Islami Bank, F. M. Mohiuddin, Mohammad Nazmul Islam & Md. Rofiqul Bari Khan, Assistant Director Generals of Bangladesh Railway and Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Secretary of Bangladesh Railway Co-operative Credit Society Limited, along with senior officials of both organizations were also present on the occasion.
