Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh Ltd (CRAB) and BRAC EPL Investments Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in developing the country's financial sector and expanding investment activities.

The MoU was signed at a ceremony held in Dhaka on Tuesday, according to a press release.

Syed Rashed Hussain, chief executive officer of BRAC EPL Investments, and Shams Azad, managing director and chief executive officer of CRAB, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. Senior officials of both organisations were present at the ceremony.

Under the agreement, the two organisations will collaborate on initiatives to strengthen merchant banking, investment services and capital market-related activities.

They will also explore new business opportunities, support market development initiatives and work together to create broader investment opportunities for investors, according to a statement.
