A delegation on Saturday visited three potential sites near the Akua Bypass area in Mymensingh for the proposed construction of a divisional stadium and a regional training centre of the Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Protishtan (BKSP).
The visit aimed to identify the most suitable location for the two proposed sports facilities.
The delegation included Mymensingh Sadar MP Abu Wahab Akanda Wahid, Mymensingh City Corporation Administrator Md Rukunuzzaman Rokon, Mymensingh Development Authority Chairman Motahar Hossain Talukdar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Azim Uddin, and other officials.
During the visit, the team assessed the geographical location, transport connectivity, land suitability, and the potential for future infrastructure development at the proposed sites.
Once built, the divisional stadium and BKSP training centre are expected to boost sports infrastructure and athlete development in the Mymensingh division.
