The International Crimes Tribunal-2 on Tuesday sentenced Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President and former information minister Hasanul Haq Inu to 10 years in prison.

The verdict was announced today, convicting him on three charges of crimes against humanity in connection with the July 2024 uprising.

Inu, who is the sole accused in the case over the killing of six people in Kushtia, is currently in jail custody.

The tribunal ordered that all sentences run concurrently, meaning he will serve 10 years in prison.
