Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka, Mr Yao Wen, on Thursday said that after signing the MoU on the Global Development Initiative (GDI), Bangladesh has become a member of the GDI family.
China and Bangladesh have been in talks over the GDI for many years, and during the recent visit of the Bangladesh PM, Bangladesh signed the GDI MoU.
Ambassador Wen stated that a total of 190 countries in the world have joined the initiative, and Bangladesh is now a member of this big family.
He also highlighted that both the countries will benefit immensely from GDI.
