Prime Bank PLC, in collaboration with the University of Chittagong and Young Economists’ Society (YES), organised ‘Empowering Youth: Engaging and Inspiring Youth in Banking Season 2.0’ under PrimeAcademia — the bank’s flagship academia banking initiative.

The seminar aimed to enhance students’ understanding of banking, financial literacy, career readiness, and leadership skills, according to a press release.

M M Mahbub Hasan, Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Inclusion & School Banking, Prime Bank, delivered the keynote speech, highlighting the importance of financial literacy, responsible money management, and building healthy financial habits among youth.

He emphasised that early financial awareness plays a vital role in developing responsible citizens and future leaders.

He also shared practical insights on savings discipline, digital banking awareness, personal financial management, and Prime Bank’s initiatives in youth banking, school banking, inclusive banking, and digital financial services.

A special CV Writing Workshop was conducted by Siraj Uddin Chowdhury Rubel, CEO & Founder, HR Perception, providing participants with practical guidance on preparing professional CVs aligned with corporate expectations and career opportunities.

Sarker Mehadhi Reza, SVP & Regional Head, Chattogram Region, Consumer Banking, Prime Bank, also conducted an insightful session.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic), University of Chittagong; Professor Dr. Mohammed Saiful Islam, Registrar; and Professor Dr. Md. Enayet Ullah Patwary, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, who shared valuable insights on youth empowerment, employability, leadership, and skill development.

The programme featured interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, networking opportunities, and a crest exchange ceremony, creating a meaningful platform for students’ professional and personal growth.
