The Center for Zakat Management (CZM) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Albukhary International University (AIU), Malaysia, establishing a strategic partnership to provide annual scholarships for the deserving graduates of CZM-run Schools and Colleges to pursue higher education at AIU, with full tuition fee waiver, free accommodation, and a monthly stipend.
The MoU also paves the way for broader academic collaboration between the two institutions, according to a press release.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Niaz Rahim, Chairman of CZM and Managing Director of Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Ltd.; Dr. Mohammad Ayub Miah, CEO of CZM; Col. (Retd.) Zakaria Hossain, Head of Corporate Affairs; Mr. Monir Ibn Hafiz Bhuiyan, Assistant General Manager; Mr. Anowar Hosen, Assistant General Manager; and Mr. Misbahur Rahman Asim, Manager, Compliance, Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Ltd.
Representing Albukhary International University were Professor Dato' Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh Bin Jaafar, Vice Chancellor & President, and Professor Dr. Hj. Mohamad Abdullah Bin Hemdi, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic).
CZM believes this partnership will create new pathways for deserving students to access quality international higher education and further strengthen educational collaboration between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
